I'm Kaga, a Podcaster / Executive Coach / AI Advisor.

 

Feeling the limits of capitalist happiness, I explore "human mental wellness" (consciousness transformation and enlightenment experiences) from the perspectives of technology, psychology, neuroscience, Japanese culture, religion, narrative, philosophy, and entertainment.

 

After starting my career at Nomura Research Institute, I joined the CEO's office at BEENOS, focusing on venture investment and launching cross-border e-commerce businesses. I graduated from General Assembly's programming bootcamp, founded startups in bento delivery and dating apps, and joined Coincheck as the 2nd employee in 2016.
I led overseas business development, marketing, HR, and Web development. During the ~$500M hacking incident, I coordinated with international organizations to lead tracking efforts.

 

After leaving post-M&A, I supported startups in Japan and the US at Tradecraft, a product designer training school in Silicon Valley. In 2020, I joined ExaWizards to launch a Well-being AI product and experienced the company's IPO during my tenure. In 2024, I also explored consciousness transformation through humor as a comedian "Kagayaki-man" at Titan Comedy School.

 

Currently, I host multiple podcasts as a Podcaster and have taken over the operation of real-life personal stories sharing platform STORYS.JP (where the original "Biri Gal" story was posted) starting in 2025. I also co-manage 11 beauty salons with my wife.

 

A meditation practitioner who has undergone 12-day Vipassana meditation training. Hobbies include Reading, Karaoke, and Angel Investing.
Born and raised in Chicago. Roots in Toyama, Japan. Father of two.
